Improving the UI and compacting the fixtures! A case study on renewing to a user-friendly evaluation system.
We would like to introduce a case where a manufacturer of information system equipment has undertaken a renewal of their product inspection fixtures. The company expressed a desire to renew their evaluation system, which conducts product inspections by sending and receiving commands from a PC through fixtures for their information system equipment. We proposed improvements to the user interface (UI) by upgrading the PC to Windows 7 and compacting the fixtures by converting the old connectors/harnesses to USB, and we are currently in development. [Case Overview] ■ Request: The current system uses an old PC, and some of the fixtures are made from discontinued parts, making duplication difficult; they wish to undertake a renewal. ■ Proposal: - Improvement of the UI by upgrading the PC to Windows 7 - Compacting the fixtures by converting the old connectors/harnesses to USB *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
