The weight is approximately 15g, making it the smallest and lightest model from the company. In addition to the low-noise specification, there is also a version with magnetic shielding available.
The one-axis optical fiber gyro VG221 (MS) is the latest model manufactured by Fizoptika Malta since 2022. It features an ultra-compact and ultra-lightweight design, achieving a volume of 10 ml and a weight of 15g. Additionally, its power consumption is very low at 0.3W or less, making it ideal for drone applications. A low-noise version, the VG221LN, is also available. Each model can be selected with a magnetic shield option, which can reduce magnetic response to 0.1°/h/Gauss.
