We received a request from a distribution and logistics manufacturer who wants to implement a process where, without needing precision, they can make a preliminary judgment in a few seconds on whether there is a "possibility of being NG" for specific items, which would then be checked by a person. This is regarding the inspection of containers with cushioning materials for transportation. By using EasyInspector's "comparison with master images" function, we were able to determine abnormalities in 12 locations of the cushioning cardboard in 0.25 seconds. The left image successfully detected and judged a misinstallation of the Santec foam component. The right image incorrectly judged the defective part. To ensure accurate judgment, it is important to enhance the imaging environment by adding lighting to make the image brighter, clearly darkening the shadowed areas, and adjusting the camera position to be further away and as vertical as possible to minimize hidden parts due to the partition board.
