Introducing a case where it became possible to shorten the suspension period, continue production, and update the PLC.
We would like to introduce a case where we were able to update the network PLC without stopping the equipment. There was a concern about wanting to update the PLC while avoiding equipment downtime, and wanting to spread costs by not updating all at once but rather in stages. To address this, we executed a reconstruction of the PLC network by stopping one line of equipment in a multi-line setup, allowing production to continue on other lines. This shortened the downtime, enabled us to update the PLC while maintaining production, and helped distribute the costs of the update, leading to a reduction in budget requirements. 【Case Overview (Partial)】 ■Challenges - Wanting to update the PLC while avoiding equipment downtime - Wanting to update the PLC, which is configured in a network, in stages - Wanting to spread costs by not updating all at once ■Solution - Stopped one line of equipment in a multi-line setup and reconstructed the PLC network to allow production on other lines. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
