Introduction of Smart Key Box / Construction: Key Management for Site Offices

Until now, users of the baseball field had to go to the town hall by the end of business hours on weekdays to receive a key, which was cumbersome. Additionally, the administrators had to manage key exchanges outside of regular hours, placing a burden on staff. To solve this issue, we introduced a smart padlock, allowing users to unlock it with their smartphones, completely eliminating the need to go to the town hall to pick up or return the key. At Kajima Corporation, we have introduced our smart key boxes at construction site offices. Previously, we duplicated and distributed keys for the number of workers, but we have changed the operation to hanging our smart key box on the doorknob and placing the keys inside it. As a result, the need for key duplication and distribution has been eliminated, and we have also been able to obtain unlocking history (entry and exit records) at a low cost. Additionally, by installing our smart padlocks at material storage areas on construction sites, which are often targets for theft, we can contribute to theft prevention measures.
