Commercial 10.1-inch battery-free tablet "TA2C-NF8BL"

We have developed three new features to support the daily operational efficiency of our field staff. By incorporating these features into the Android tablet "TA2C-NF8" equipped with an NFC reader/writer, we aim to contribute to addressing the recent challenge of labor shortages. ■ New Features 1. Server-free MDM (Mobile Device Management) app "Tablet Control" ~No internet connection required, operates entirely on a local area network~ (Restart / Shutdown / LCD OFF / LCD ON) 2. OS automatic update scheduler 3. Automatic app launch These three new features will be provided free of charge with the "TA2C-NF8" and can be utilized not only in future shipments from our company but also on devices owned by customers through their own OS updates. These features are scheduled to be released in May. These new features have been developed in response to customer feedback. As a "tablet manufacturer specializing in business use," we will continue to work on developing and improving new features to solve our customers' challenges.

Our company will exhibit at the largest domestic exhibition for information systems for the distribution and retail industry, "The 41st Retail Technology JAPAN 2025," which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from March 4 (Tuesday) to March 7 (Friday), 2025. At our booth, we will showcase tablet products specialized for business applications, addressing the ever-changing needs of the distribution industry while focusing on themes such as labor shortages and improving employee efficiency. We will primarily feature the Android tablet "TA2C-NF8," equipped with an NFC reader/writer, which can be utilized in restaurants, along with a demonstration of our original app "NFC Optimizer" that supports operational efficiency through NFC functions and IC cards. Additionally, we will introduce a cashless payment solution that allows customers to handle everything from ordering to payment using the tablet at their table in restaurants. Furthermore, at this exhibition, we will also reference display the SIM model of the TA2C-NF8 and a 10.1-inch Windows tablet, as well as provide information on new features of the TA2C-NF8 scheduled to be announced this spring.

ODS Corporation, a manufacturer of business information terminals (headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo; President: Kiyoshi Sunanaga), will exhibit at "HCJ2025 International Hotel & Restaurant Show," one of Japan's largest trade fairs for the food service, accommodation, and leisure industries, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from February 4 (Tuesday) to 7 (Friday), 2025. At our booth, we will showcase tablet products specifically designed for business use, addressing the labor shortage that has become a social issue in various industries. We will focus on improving employee efficiency in sectors where securing personnel is challenging. The main highlight will be the Android tablet "TA2C-NF8," equipped with an NFC reader/writer, along with demonstrations of our original app "NFC Optimizer," which supports operational efficiency through NFC functionality and IC cards. We will also conduct demonstrations of cashless payment systems that allow customers to place orders and make payments at the table in restaurants, along with other displays tailored to various usage scenarios. Additionally, we will present a reference exhibit of a new 21.5-inch tablet scheduled for release in 2025 at this exhibition.

We will standardly equip our original application "Log Transmission App" in future shipments of the Android tablets "TA2C-NF8" and "TA2C-CS8," enhancing our domestic support services for early resolution of issues. For customers who have already received their shipments, updates can be handled either through AWS by the customers themselves or through our support center. Our original application "Log Transmission App" collects and compresses logs from the tablet by combining it with the preset "Log Collection Mode," and sends them to our server via the internet. This reduces the time taken to respond after an issue occurs. Additionally, for issues dependent on the customer's environment, it may not be possible to reproduce them at our repair center, which allows us to eliminate the hassle for customers who had to reproduce issues while operating in their actual environment.
