High-precision compositional analysis service for trace impurities contained in recycled polymers and similar materials.
Launch of High-Precision Composition Analysis Service for Trace Impurities in Recycled Polymers and Others - Supporting Material Development Towards a Sustainable Society
Our company (hereinafter referred to as "TRC") has utilized our know-how regarding the separation of various components in polymers and the two-dimensional liquid chromatography high-resolution mass spectrometer (hereinafter referred to as "2D-LC/HRMS") to become the first domestic contract analysis company to offer high-precision compositional analysis services for trace impurities contained in recycled polymers and the like. Trace impurities and degradation products in recycled polymers can potentially lead to performance degradation and discoloration of the polymers. However, conventional analytical methods have made it difficult to separate trace components and conduct structural analysis. Therefore, we have developed technology to enhance the separation capability of trace components, enabling their identification. This is expected to improve recycling processes and prevent discoloration. TRC aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by providing information related to such material analysis and supporting material development.
