Visualization of powder behavior
Altair EDEM, equipped with DEM, rapidly and accurately simulates and analyzes the behavior of bulk materials such as coal, ore, soil, fibers, grains, small pieces, and powders, significantly reducing the costs of physical prototyping and testing. It implements models that accurately reproduce complex phenomena of bulk materials, such as agglomeration, fragmentation, and elastoplasticity, allowing for the visualization of phenomena that are difficult to observe in experiments, even in bulk processes. EDEM also enables the understanding and prediction of granular material behavior, performance evaluation of equipment, and optimization of processes.
