The V-ring seal is stretched and installed on the shaft, sealing axially against a stationary counterpart surface that is perpendicular to the rotating shaft.
V-ring seals are very easy to install as they are made of rubber materials such as NBR and FKM. The counterface can be the side wall of a bearing, a washer, stamping, a bearing housing, or the metal ring of an oil seal. The seal lip is flexible and makes contact with the counterface with relatively light contact pressure, accommodating relatively large axial and radial misalignments, and sealing out dirt, dust, debris, and splashed water. They are ideal for protecting main seals like oil seals and serve as secondary seals.

The trapezoidal body shape provides stronger and more stable grip on the shaft. Positioning can be achieved by adding small grooves to the shaft. Additionally, the trapezoidal body enhances the deflector effect. - VL Type: Suitable for areas requiring a more compact design with a single cross-section, and it is optimal for use in conjunction with labyrinth seals.
