Conducting a chip comparison test! A must-see for those struggling with chip elongation.
This is a cutting report. The material being cut this time is SCr420, which is commonly used in automotive parts processing. SCr420 is an alloy steel with ductile properties, and sometimes it can be difficult to process. We conducted a comparison test of high-feed groove machining and chip generation using three types of breakers from HORN, with two patterns of plunge feed. The key point is that "high feed is possible" with SCr420, so please pay attention to the chip fragmentation. With the appropriate breaker, we achieved fine and uniform chips. If you are struggling with chip elongation, please use this as a reference. *For detailed content of the column, you can view it through the related links.
