Roller Discharge Type This method presses a roller against the cake and scrapes off the wrapped cake with a scraper. It is suitable for sticky cakes that are difficult to detach with backflow. 3. Precoat Cut Type This method scrapes the cake off with a scraper under vacuum without backflow. Each time, the cake formed on top of the remaining cake (precoat layer) is scraped off. The precoat layer clogs over time, so it is intermittently peeled off and renewed. Since it is scraped under vacuum, there is no backflow of filtrate due to backflow, and the moisture content of the cake is reduced by 2-4%.
