Technical Data: Metabolomics Analysis Using High-Resolution GC-MS
A deeper exploration of the metabolome! A comprehensive metabolomics approach from target analysis to the identification of unknown compounds.
This technical document introduces a workflow for metabolomics analysis using the Orbitrap GC-MS system and Compound Discoverer software. Data acquisition through EI full scan with a mass resolution of 60,000 and data extraction and deconvolution analysis with Compound Discoverer accurately extracts peaks characteristic of the sample. It also includes statistical analysis functions to identify differences between sample groups, designed to allow visual confirmation of results. Furthermore, the workflow for identifying unknown compounds using precise mass information from EI, PCI, and MS/MS quickly lists candidate compounds by comparing mass accuracy within a few ppm, PCI's adduct ion information, and in silico MS/MS fragment information. Features: - The Orbitrap GC-MS HRAM metabolomics library includes information on over 800 metabolites and Kovats retention time information. - Compatible with commercially available integer mass libraries. - Reliable compound identification using precise mass information from EI, PCI, and MS/MS. - Detection of component differences through multivariate statistical analysis and pathway analysis.
