【Induction Heating Application Cases by Industry】Needles (Injection Needles, Fishing Hooks, Sewing Needles)
Introducing examples of applying high-frequency induction heating for yield improvement.
We would like to introduce a case study of the application of induction heating in a needle manufacturing company. The manufacturing process necessary to maintain the strength of the needle is "quenching." Each needle manufacturer has its own know-how for quenching that is suitable for their specific needles, but induction heating (IH) can apply that know-how accurately and improve yield. At Alonix, we are working on quenching needles by leveraging the characteristics of induction heating, which allows for pinpoint heating, and we have a proven track record even in injection needles where high precision results are required. Induction heating can not only be used for quenching needles but also for welding the needle hub of injection needles. It can instantaneously heat ultra-fine injection needles (SUS pipes) and weld them to the needle hub. Induction heating enables non-contact and highly reproducible heating in a short time. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

basic information
**Advantages of Induction Heating (IH)** ■ Pinpoint Heating: With appropriate coil design, it allows for pinpoint heating of specific areas (e.g., only the tip). ■ Increased Productivity: Easily controllable with electricity, resulting in high reproducibility. ■ Hygienic: Non-contact heating at the heating point makes it safe for medical use. ■ Improved Working Environment: Reduces temperature rise in the manufacturing area, minimizing the risk of accidents (burns) for workers, and promotes a safe and secure working environment. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*

We manufacture and sell high-frequency power supplies and their applications for industrial use and scientific research, including induction heating power supplies, high-frequency power supplies for plasma, and RF power amplifiers. Our induction heating power supplies are available in a wide range from 1.2 kW to 500 kW, and due to their unique compact design and broad frequency range, they are applied in applications where induction heating was previously difficult. For plasma power supplies and RF amplifiers, engineering and manufacturing are conducted at our U.S. subsidiary, and in addition to sales, we also design and manufacture application equipment. With over 30 years of experience in plasma high-frequency power supplies and broadband amplifiers for semiconductor devices, we provide precise engineering services to realize our customers' ideals. We also offer free initial heating tests for equipment selection.
