The active breakout direct attach cable from Volex's QSFP-DD to 2x/4x QSFP56 features eight 50Gbps channels using PAM-4 modulation for both transmission and reception. This breakout cable is available in configurations of 400Gbps (QSFP-DD) to 2x 200Gbps (2x QSFP56) or 4x 100Gbps (4x QSFP56). The cable assembly complies with QSFP-DD MSA and IEEE 802.3cd specifications. The signal integrity, which experiences significant stress during high-speed data transmission, is enhanced by advanced linear equalization. As a result, it enables long-distance transmission of up to 7m compared to the passive version's 3m, while its unique dielectric materials and cable structure achieve the smallest cable size and the highest flexibility.
