We have published a case study on the introduction of G-ZERO L1 by the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) under the title "The Power of Prototyping Supporting Communication During Disasters." At the Resilient ICT Research Center of NICT, which aims to achieve "uninterrupted communication," we spoke with Mr. Takeshi Sato, a research technician in the Sustainable ICT Systems Research Laboratory, and Mr. Kota Kido, the chief of the Manufacturing Group in the Radio Utilization Management and Manufacturing Office of the Business Planning Department, about the realities of the research field and the importance of prototyping. Gutenberg Co., Ltd. has been selected for the factory certification system "Yukojo" (Excellent Factory) implemented by Ota Ward. "Yukojo" is a system that certifies outstanding facilities that serve as models for other factories, emphasizing not only high technical and management capabilities but also the creation of a worker-friendly labor environment, cooperation with the community, and consideration for the environment, reflecting a positive attitude towards people and the town. The system started in the 7th year of the Heisei era, and so far, 309 companies have been certified. This system, which focuses on creating a comfortable working environment for employees, harmony with the community, and reducing environmental impact, has been highly regarded as a precursor to the principles of the SDGs. In this, the 31st year, as a result of a rigorous examination, 10 new companies have been certified as "Yukojo." Recently, our company, Gutenberg Co., Ltd., was featured in the November 2025 issue of the public relations magazine "Tokyo BizBeat," published by the Tokyo Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Corporation.
