We would like to introduce a case where the insufficient holding force of the opening and closing part of a label printer was resolved through a precision control mechanism for unidirectional torque generation and unidirectional free rotation. The issue arose due to an increase in weight at the opening and closing points caused by design changes, which resulted in insufficient force with the existing hinges. We calculated the necessary torque and proposed a 0.3Nm model of a one-way hinge.
