MLCCs, or multilayer ceramic capacitors, are electronic components that are predominantly held by Japanese companies. The carrier PET films used in the production of these products are difficult to clean of residual inorganic components after use, resulting in over 30,000 tons of film being disposed of or exported as is each year. Now, at Nomura Office, we will conduct a project to remove inorganic components using advanced crushing and cleaning technology from our partner company, and repurpose it as raw material for textiles, with the support of the Ministry of the Environment.
