Prevents film adhesion and line stoppage. Achieves stable transport with anti-static fluororesin.
In packaging machines and conveyor equipment, issues may arise where workpieces such as films adhere to guide components, leading to line stoppages. The primary cause of this is static electricity generated by friction between resins. Charged workpieces can stick to the guide parts, causing poor sliding, wandering, and unstable transport. An effective solution to these challenges is our anti-static fluororesin coating, "Pass-e Coat." While typical fluororesin coatings tend to easily accumulate static electricity, Pass-e Coat is designed to dissipate static, thereby reducing adhesion caused by charging. By combining non-stick and slip properties with anti-static functionality, it contributes to stable transport and a reduction in the risk of line stoppages.

basic information
Pass-e Coat is a functional coating that not only possesses the basic characteristics of fluoropolymer, such as non-stickiness, slip properties, and chemical resistance, but also incorporates an electrostatic prevention function. Typical fluoropolymers have high insulation properties, making them prone to retaining static electricity generated by friction; however, Pass-e Coat suppresses the accumulation of static electricity by allowing the charged surface to dissipate. This prevents the adhesion and clinging of lightweight materials such as films, sheets, and powders. Additionally, its low friction properties contribute to reduced transport resistance, enabling smooth line operation. It allows for optimal film thickness and specification design according to the substrate and application, and can flexibly accommodate existing equipment and post-processing.

Applications/Examples of results
Pass-e Coat is widely used in processes where issues such as adhesion and transport failures due to static electricity are concerns. In packaging machine film transport guides and roll components, it suppresses film sticking and wandering caused by static electricity, achieving stable transport. This contributes to reducing line stoppages and improving productivity. It is also effective in sheet and film processing stages as a means of preventing adhesion to guide parts and contact components. Additionally, in equipment handling powders, it helps prevent adhesion and accumulation due to static electricity, contributing to clogging prevention and improved cleanability. In the transport processes of electronic components and plastic products, stabilization of quality is expected due to the reduction of static electricity-related troubles.

Nikken Coating Industry Co., Ltd. has been a specialized manufacturer of functional coatings for contract processing, earning the trust of customers across various industries for 79 years since its founding. We leverage our processing technology to maximize the properties of fluororesins, such as non-stick, lubricity, and chemical resistance, providing high-performance coatings that directly address customer challenges, including "Thermo Pro Release" for thermal welding processes and "NonStick STC" for blades and precision molds. In recent years, in response to movements regarding regulations on fluorinated compounds (PFAS), "PEEK resin," which is gaining attention as a substitute for fluororesins, has become a focus. Nikken Coating Industry commercialized the world's first PEEK resin coating, "PEEKCOAT," in 1999. Based on the solid knowledge and know-how accumulated over more than 20 years, we are further intensifying our research and development efforts to explore the potential of next-generation PEEK coatings! We aim to be recognized as "the go-to for PEEK coatings" and will continue to lead the way. As "the best partner for functional coatings that builds trust through technology," Nikken Coating Industry will continue to contribute to the creation of high-quality, high-performance products.
