High-concentration bentonite wastewater can be separated into solid and liquid.
Until now, there have been very few methods to separate water from high-concentration bentonite wastewater using coagulants. With the combination of Ultra Separate BC and diluted hydrochloric acid, high-concentration bentonite wastewater can be easily treated. For dewatering, a cloth filter type simple dewatering machine is optimal. When treating bentonite wastewater with coagulation, it expands and contracts, creating strong additional resistance, making it impossible to process with conventional coagulation sedimentation equipment. Our company has developed a coagulation sedimentation device specifically for treating bentonite wastewater.

basic information
Overview of Ultra Separate BC. Ultra Separate BC is an easy-to-handle alkaline mineral-based powder coagulant newly developed for bentonite wastewater treatment. When added to bentonite wastewater and used in conjunction with diluted hydrochloric acid while stirring, it forms flocs while strongly dissolving the bentonite, enabling solid-liquid separation. The flocs are remarkably large, and the treated water is clear and neutral. Benefits of Ultra Separate BC. ● The flocs are large, reducing the volume to less than one-third simply by draining the water. ● The treated water is surprisingly clear and neutral. ● The coagulation and sedimentation speed is fast, effectively dissolving bentonite and achieving strong solid-liquid separation. ● The flocs are stable, preventing the re-separation of contaminants.

Applications/Examples of results
Until now, there have been very few coagulants capable of separating solid-liquid phases from highly concentrated bentonite wastewater. Ultra Separate BC is a coagulant developed at the request of a major drilling contractor. It is highly effective for solid-liquid separation of bentonite wastewater. Ultra Separate BC has a proven track record in the treatment of wastewater from drilling operations and in the intermediate treatment of bentonite wastewater. The treatment method involves diluting the bentonite wastewater with 1 to 2 times the amount of water, adding a small amount of Ultra Separate BC, and stirring for about ten minutes. After that, a diluted hydrochloric acid solution is added and stirred, resulting in solid-liquid separation within a few minutes. The floc can easily be drained, reducing the volume to less than one-third through simple drainage. When the cake is dried in the sun, it can be reduced by up to 13%, and since it does not rehydrate even when exposed to rainwater, no solidifying agent is needed. The treated water can be discharged or reused as dilution water. Our company has also developed and is selling a simple dewatering machine. Additionally, since the treatment of bentonite wastewater involves significant additional resistance due to the processes of swelling, dissolving, and coagulating, we have developed a three-dimensional water flow stirring coagulation sedimentation device equipped with a powerful stirrer specifically for bentonite wastewater.

Our company is small, but we have applied for patents for electric dust collectors and sludge solidification treatment devices. Currently, we are providing environmental purification technology consulting based on cutting-edge environmental purification technologies, and we are involved in the development and planning of environmental purification devices. We have also developed and are selling environmental purification products, including the dioxin removal coagulant Ultra Separate SDS, the heavy metal removal coagulant Ultra Separate S300, and the turbidity coagulant Ultra Separate MC, which is effective for a wide range of applications from organic wastewater treatment to the purification of lake water quality. Additionally, we are currently selling a dihydrate gypsum semi-hydration device that can convert waste gypsum boards after crushing and separation into recyclable raw materials. We are also developing solidifying agents for soil conditioners, high-moisture sludge, and heavy metal-containing sludge using the semi-hydrated gypsum produced from the dihydrate gypsum semi-hydration device, and we plan to sell these as well. We intend to continue developing products and items based on environmental purification technology in the future.
