◆◇◆ What is Plasma Spraying ◆◇◆ Plasma spraying is a process that uses a plasma jet generated by a plasma spray gun to heat and accelerate spray materials, bringing them to a molten or near-molten state before spraying them onto a substrate. The diagram illustrates the principle of a plasma spray gun. As shown in the diagram, when a voltage is applied between the cathode and anode, a direct current arc is generated. The working gas (such as argon) supplied from the rear becomes ionized, producing plasma. Then, the spray powder material is fed into the plasma flame using the working gas (such as argon), forming a spray coating.

It does not cause changes in the substrate's structure or thermal distortion. It can also be applied to repaired items. There are no restrictions on substrate materials (aluminum, copper alloys, plastics, glass, etc.). ◆Produces high-quality composite coatings Plasma spraying achieves complete melting through high-temperature, high-speed plasma flow, resulting in a high-hardness, high-density, and smooth coating with excellent inter-particle adhesion. Various ceramics, nitrides, silicides, and carbides can be sprayed, yielding a uniform material coating. ◆Direct spraying onto the substrate eliminates the risk of cracking like in sintering. The bonding mechanism of the sprayed coating to the substrate possesses unique properties such as mechanical interlocking, metallurgical and chemical interactions, and self-bonding. ◆Achieves our unique superior surface finishing It is possible to create unique surface roughness such as matte and mirror finishes after plasma spraying. By combining the sprayed coating with other surface treatments, it is possible to create unique performance characteristics. ◆Resistant to wear and corrosion ◆Strong against hard surface wear ◆Resistant to fretting wear
