Tensile Strength Testing Service | JTL
Evaluation Test > Service > Material Property Evaluation > Mechanical Property Evaluation > Tensile Strength Test Service
We will evaluate the mechanical properties (strength) of materials and products through tensile testing.
This service evaluates the "strength," a type of "mechanical property" necessary for assessing materials such as metals, plastics, and ceramics, as well as products and parts like die-cast items and resin-molded products, through tensile testing. The durability of materials varies depending on their type in response to externally applied forces such as tension, compression, and shear. These properties are referred to as "mechanical properties" and serve as important indicators for evaluating processing methods and the durability of processed products. We can accommodate tests in accordance with standards such as JIS, and even for non-standard testing methods or specimen shapes, we can provide flexible support by creating jigs and processing test specimens according to the specific requirements.

basic information
【Support for a Variety of Materials and Shapes】 We can conduct tensile tests on a wide range of test specimens, including various materials such as metals, plastics, rubber, ceramics, and FRP, as well as shapes like plates, round bars, films, and wires. 【Covering a Wide Temperature Range】 By combining a constant temperature chamber and an atmospheric furnace, we can conduct tensile tests not only at room temperature but also in temperature environments ranging from low to high temperatures (-150°C to 1100°C). ● High-temperature atmospheric furnace: 300°C to 1100°C ● High-temperature and low-temperature constant temperature chamber: -150°C to 320°C 【Output of Various Mechanical Properties】 In addition to measuring elongation using mechanical stroke, we also use strain gauges and video extensometers, allowing us to output various mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield point, endurance limit, elongation at break, Young's modulus, and Poisson's ratio. 【Wide Range of Test Loads from Low to High】 With a maximum load capacity of 300kN (approximately 30 tons) and load cells ranging from 10N to 300kN (values are 1/1000), we can conduct a wide range of tests on specimens from low load to high load.

Applications/Examples of results
●Testing using test specimens compliant with JIS standards Materials range widely from metals to plastics, rubber, carbon, etc. Examples: JIS Z 2241 (Tensile testing method for metallic materials) JIS Z 2201 (Tensile test specimens for metallic materials) *Old standard JIS K 6251 (Tensile testing method for vulcanized rubber and thermoplastic rubber) JIS K 7161 (Testing method for tensile properties of plastics Part 1: General rules) JIS K 7139 (Test specimens for plastics) JIS K 7054 (Tensile testing method for glass fiber reinforced plastics) *Old standard JIS R 1602 (Testing method for elastic modulus of fine ceramics) ●Testing in the product state Testing on the product as is, or by cutting out a part of the product Examples: - Pull-out strength test of lead wires and terminals - Peel strength test of resin welded parts - Tear strength test of fabric sewing parts - Tensile strength test of test specimens cut from aluminum die-cast products - Tensile strength test of test specimens cut from resin molded products
Company information
Our main business is providing technical services to evaluate the reliability of developed products. We not only provide evaluation data in accordance with standards and regulations, but also propose optimal methods, conditions, and equipment for evaluation purposes, as well as design and manufacture original equipment and jigs for non-standard evaluations. Additionally, we handle three evaluation techniques—measurement, testing, and analysis—comprehensively, allowing us to offer complex services that span diverse equipment and suggest more multifaceted evaluation methods.
