This service investigates the occurrence of corrosion, rust, discoloration, peeling, and blistering on metal materials or surface-treated products such as plating and coatings using the salt spray test (SST). The salt spray test is one of the corrosion testing methods aimed at atmospheric corrosion, where test specimens are exposed to an environment where a corrosion solution (sodium chloride aqueous solution) is continuously sprayed. It allows for the evaluation of corrosion behavior that would normally take a long time to develop in natural conditions, compressed into a shorter time frame.

【Support for Various Testing Standards】 The applicable standards include ISO 9227, JIS Z 2371, JIS H 8502, etc. We primarily support the neutral salt spray test, where a neutral 5% sodium chloride solution is sprayed onto the test specimen under an atmosphere of 35±1°C. 【Testing with Suppressed pH Fluctuation】 The supply tank for the spraying solution is designed to suppress pH fluctuations. We also adopt the spray tower method recommended by ISO, which excels in uniformity of spray distribution. 【Support for Multiple and Large Test Specimens】 The internal dimensions of the test chamber are W1100×D600×H500 (mm), allowing for testing of multiple test specimens or large-sized parts. We can test 60 samples simultaneously at a size of 150×70×1mm. 【Support for Pre- and Post-Test Investigations】 We can provide various evaluations such as cross-section polishing, observation, analysis, strength tests, adhesion tests, and hardness tests to confirm the corrosion state before and after testing.
