Creep Testing Service | JTL
Evaluation Test > Service > Reliability Test > Product Reliability Test > Creep Test Service
We will evaluate the creep properties of materials and products under both room temperature and temperature-controlled environments.
This service provides creep testing, which involves holding a specimen at a constant temperature and applying a constant load to measure the strain that changes over time (the change in material length or the time until fracture). This test is particularly conducted for evaluating materials used at high temperatures for extended periods. Creep curves, creep strength, and time-strain can be determined. When a constant load is applied to a material and it is left for a long time, the changes increase over time, and if the limit is exceeded, it ultimately leads to failure. Tensile creep testing is conducted to determine the creep rupture life. Additionally, the time until failure is measured by varying the stress (load) and plotting it on a graph. From this curve, the relationship between the stress that leads to failure and time can be determined. *At JTL, we offer creep testing services using a tensile compression testing machine. Please consult us as there may be some testing conditions that we cannot accommodate.*

basic information
【Compatible with a Wide Range of Temperature Conditions】 By combining a tensile and compression testing machine with a constant temperature chamber and an atmospheric furnace, we can conduct tests not only at room temperature but also in low to high temperature environments. This allows for evaluation of products in conditions that closely resemble actual usage environments. - High-Temperature Atmospheric Furnace 300℃ to 1100℃ - High-Temperature and Low-Temperature Constant Temperature Chamber -150℃ to 320℃ 【Accurate Data You Need】 In addition to the basic data output formats, we will provide data in a form tailored to your specific requests.

Applications/Examples of results
- Creep testing of test specimens compliant with JIS standards The materials range widely from metals to plastics, rubber, carbon, etc. <Examples of JIS standards> JIS K 7115 (Tensile Creep): Plastic JIS K 7116 (Bending Creep under Three-Point Load): Plastic JIS Z 2271 (Creep and Creep Rupture Test Methods): Metal JIS Z 2271 (Tensile Creep Rupture Test Method): Metal Additionally, there are standards for fine ceramics and wood, among others. (*In some cases, we may not be able to accommodate certain content.) - Creep testing in the original state of products and components.
Company information
Our main business is providing technical services to evaluate the reliability of developed products. We not only provide evaluation data in accordance with standards and regulations, but also propose optimal methods, conditions, and equipment for evaluation purposes, as well as design and manufacture original equipment and jigs for non-standard evaluations. Additionally, we handle three evaluation techniques—measurement, testing, and analysis—comprehensively, allowing us to offer complex services that span diverse equipment and suggest more multifaceted evaluation methods.
