Non-contact two-dimensional measurement and contour shape measurement using image capture can evaluate various sizes, from small parts to large products.
Image measurement machines can perform two-dimensional measurements of small products and intricate shapes that cannot be measured by three-dimensional measuring machines. Through scanning shape measurement, two-dimensional CAD comparison, and shape evaluation (best fit), it is possible to measure and evaluate two-dimensional contour shapes that cannot be assessed by standard geometric dimension measurements. Additionally, by attaching a special image measurement probe (Quick Vision Probe) to a three-dimensional measuring machine, non-contact two-dimensional image measurement of large-sized items that cannot be handled by general image measurement machines has become possible. When used alongside three-dimensional measuring machines, two-dimensional measuring machines, and measuring tools (small tools), it is possible to accommodate measurements of various sizes, materials, and shapes.

By creating programs through "offline teaching," which allows for the instruction of measurement procedures from drawings (or processing) data, automatic measurements can be performed. This enables quick responses even when conducting numerous measurements on the same workpiece.
