[Development Case] TV Manufacturing Line Tester -Adoption of TestStand-
[Development Case] Adopted TestStand, a TV manufacturing line tester that supports a wide variety of lines for 100 systems.
1. Flexibility of Inspection Content Due to the diverse inspection content on the manufacturing line and frequent model changes, it is insufficient to prepare all inspection content in a fixed manner for each inspection line, which limits the potential for many implementations. Therefore, individual inspection processes needed to be simplified, allowing users to freely combine processes to easily assemble the inspection content. 2. Cost Reduction of Inspection Equipment In today's manufacturing lines that produce a wide variety of products in large quantities over a short period, a significant amount of inspection equipment is required, making it difficult to introduce expensive dedicated machinery in large quantities. It was necessary to establish a standard configuration that could be implemented at low cost and used universally across any manufacturing line. Additionally, it was essential to partially reuse existing inspection equipment to reduce new implementation costs and accommodate special inspection content. 3. Real-Time Monitoring of the Manufacturing Site As the system operates in the manufacturing environment, it is necessary to grasp and manage the inspection and production statuses. Customization related to operations, such as displaying statistical information and highlighting items under inspection or with anomalies, was required. Furthermore, it was necessary to devise processes so that they could be used even on automated lines where operators are not present.
