Unlike conventional oil-water meters, this device can simultaneously measure both moisture and sebum levels, making in-store consultations more efficient. It also features a USB interface for data transmission to a host computer, which I believe will be useful for creating customer records. Additionally, the method for measuring sebum levels has changed from the traditional approach of measuring the transparency of a roughened acrylic sheet, which relies on the capillary phenomenon of sebum, to a unique rolling area measurement method that allows for the measurement of very small amounts of sebum without the need for consumables.
