Parts made from cutting iron or brass can be reduced in size using materials with increased specific gravity. High-density materials can have their specific gravity set freely up to 14. Since iron has a specific gravity of 7, using a material with a specific gravity of 14 will reduce the volume by half. Moreover, because they can be injection molded, they can fill dead space in parts, enabling more space-saving designs. Mate's high-density materials do not contain lead or cadmium, and since they can be injection molded, there is no cutting waste generated when processing metals.
