It has become possible to safely and reliably cleanly remove polymers that have thermally bonded to various metal parts in a short time.
The Clean Shot is a cleaning and removal device for adhered polymers that applies the organic transformation blast method, consisting of a carbonization furnace (transformation furnace) and air blast. In the carbonization furnace, workpieces (parts) with adhered polymers are subjected to heat treatment under a trace oxygen atmosphere, dissolving and carbonizing the polymers. During this carbonization process, most of the polymers that were thickly adhered to the workpiece dissolve and flow into a collection tray located at the bottom of the carbonization furnace. The polymers that remain adhered to the workpiece without flowing off remain as a carbonized film on the surface of the workpiece. By utilizing the property of air blast that is "less effective on soft, thick films, but extremely effective on thin, hard films," adhered polymers can be effectively removed in a short time. A demonstration unit is available.

basic information
【Features】 ○ The process involves setting the parts in the carbonization furnace, turning on the switch, and then removing them for blasting after they have cooled down to a certain extent. ○ The air blasting performed by the operator can be completed in 2 to 5 minutes even for complex shapes, so the actual total working time is about 5 to 10 minutes. ○ The processing temperature of the carbonization furnace (approximately 420 to 500°C) can be freely set according to the shape and material of the workpiece, so there is no impact on the plating layer or hardening treatment. ○ In addition to standard glass beads, plastic materials (optional) are also available for the blasting media, allowing for the cleaning and removal of precision parts and low-hardness metal components. ○ Since the treatment is conducted in a sealed carbonization furnace, no smoke escapes outside the furnace. Additionally, because it is not a combustion method, harmful substances are less likely to be released into the atmosphere, and the residues generated after removal can be treated as general industrial waste. ● For more details, please contact us.

"Clean Shot" is a unique product developed by Tabata Machinery Industry, consisting of a carbonization furnace and an air blast device. The carbonization furnace of "Clean Shot" heats and carbonizes polymers adhered to metals in a sealed furnace, so no smoke is released outside the furnace. The adhered polymers are removed after carbonization by the abrasive material injection of the air blast device.

Since its establishment in 1954, TABATA has consistently engaged in the production and sale of various plastic resin-related processing machines and equipment based on its unique in-house technology through order-based manufacturing. Not only does it excel in general plastic materials, but it also holds top-class technology and market share in machinery and equipment related to PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene resin) in Japan. Additionally, its product range has expanded to include post-processing equipment for plastic processing, such as the resin removal cleaning system (CLEAN SHOT) and exhaust gas treatment systems (DEOCAT) targeting VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
