ESI releases the latest version of the welding analysis software SYSWELD 2017.
ESI Group has released the latest version of its welding, assembly, and heat treatment software solution, SYSWELD 2017. This product is the most accurate multi-physics software for finite element analysis (FEA) for welding (arc, electron beam, laser, friction stir, spot welding) and heat treatment (carburizing, carbonitriding, quenching) simulations. SYSWELD, which can transfer the effects occurring in each manufacturing process to the next stage, is an end-to-end predictive solution for component manufacturing in the welding and assembly industry. With the release of SYSWELD 2017, ESI has enhanced the simulation capabilities for welding and heat treatment, ensuring process feasibility and safety, controlling material properties and residual stresses, and keeping distortion caused by welding within acceptable limits to improve product performance. SYSWELD 2017, which strengthens support for multi-pass welding, automatically controls the inter-pass temperature between each welding process and allows for direct control of phase fractions and stresses, thereby enhancing the integrity of components. The latest version also supports new manufacturing processes such as spot welding using spacers, friction stir welding, and carbonitriding.

2022 International Welding Show
Japan ESI will showcase welding simulation at the 2022 International Welding Show, held from July 13 (Wednesday) to 16 (Saturday), 2022. ESI's welding simulation provides solutions tailored to challenges in welding by categorizing them into deformation and quality issues. For the "welding deformation" problem, Visual Assembly allows for easy analysis even with large-scale models. It enables the analysis of changes in the sequence of spot welding and clamp positions, facilitating the consideration of welding plans with minimal deformation before the prototype stage. For the "welding quality" problem, SYSWELD accurately solves the behavior of metal materials due to heat. It can faithfully reproduce phenomena occurring during the welding process, such as the movement of the welding heat source, expansion and contraction due to temperature history during heating and cooling, and phase transformations. Furthermore, it is possible to consistently carry over the analysis results from the manufacturing process of press forming to welding, and even simulate product fatigue durability performance. On July 14 (Thursday), we will hold a lecture titled "Reducing Prototype Costs through Welding Assembly Simulation." We sincerely look forward to your participation.

We will hold a casting analysis seminar - Casting analysis and the latest thermal stress analysis technology.
ESI Japan is pleased to announce the hosting of the "Casting Analysis Seminar - Casting Analysis and the Latest Thermal Stress Analysis Technologies." This seminar will focus specifically on "stress analysis technology" within the realm of casting analysis. Professor Yoshida from Waseda University's Faculty of Creative Science and Engineering is scheduled to give a keynote lecture on his efforts related to stress analysis, incorporating experiments and physical property measurements. Additionally, ESI will present the latest case studies of casting analysis from overseas and practical examples of stress analysis, along with a demonstration of ESI's casting analysis software, ProCAST. We sincerely invite you to participate in this opportunity.
