Shoei Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (President: Masataka Haba, hereinafter referred to as "Shoei Manufacturing") has successfully achieved stable combustion in ammonia-only combustion of a heat recovery burner with an integrated heat exchanger (the first of its kind in Japan) in collaboration with Daigas Energy Co., Ltd. (President: Hiroyoshi Fukutani, hereinafter referred to as "Daigas Energy"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. (President: Masataka Fujiwara). The mixing ratio with city gas has also been realized in the range of 0 to 100%, contributing to the decarbonization and low-carbonization in high-temperature fields such as aluminum manufacturing. At Shoei Manufacturing, we are working on the commercialization of next-generation fuel burners, such as hydrogen burners and ammonia burners, by applying the combustion technology and heat utilization technology we have cultivated so far. We will continue to refine decarbonization and low-carbonization technologies across various temperature ranges and contribute to the development of the manufacturing industry. (Note 1) Based on research by Daigas Energy as of February 2025 (Note 2) A burner equipped with a heat exchanger that achieves high-efficiency combustion by exchanging heat between combustion exhaust gas and combustion air (Note 3) The heat ratio of ammonia within the total heat of city gas and ammonia (mixing ratio of 0% = 100% city gas).
