適した脱泡剤 / 消泡剤を添加すると泡の界面に配向している界面活性剤と置換され、泡の安定化を崩します。そうすることで小さな泡同士がくっつきあって大きな泡になれば表面に浮かび上がる速度が上がり（ストークスの法則）、またラメラ層中の液体も素早く排水され、表面の泡が除去されます。
