Technical Report: Fracture Surface Analysis of Metals

By conducting fracture surface analysis using a microscope or FE-SEM, it is possible to estimate the fracture phenomenon!

Metal materials used as mechanical components can break depending on their usage and environment. By conducting fracture surface analysis using a microscope or FE-SEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope), it is possible to estimate the fracture phenomena. This document presents a case study of a fracture that occurred in a pinion shaft made of SNCM420 (nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel). [Contents] ■ Overview ■ Inspection Case ■ Evaluation *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Topology optimization analysis of aircraft engine turbine disks.

By considering manufacturing constraints, it leads to obtaining an even more ideal shape.

Using the general-purpose finite element analysis software AIFEM, we will conduct topology optimization analysis of an aircraft engine turbine disk. Since a typical turbine disk is designed based on the engineer's experience, knowledge, and numerous tests, it can be time-consuming and costly, and it may be difficult to achieve an ideal design effect that breaks through existing design thinking. By utilizing AIFEM's topology optimization function, we will perform structural optimization of the turbine disk, taking into account the coupling of thermal loads and centrifugal forces, to obtain a better shape. *For more detailed information, please refer to the related links. Backside light emission analysis of SiC devices

Pre-processing of SiC devices → Identification of leakage points → Physical analysis/component analysis handled seamlessly!

Our company conducts "Backside Emission Analysis of SiC Devices." SiC is a power device with less energy loss compared to conventional Si semiconductors and is attracting attention. However, due to its different physical properties from Si semiconductors, new methods are required for failure analysis. In a case study of backside emission analysis of SiC MOSFETs, an overseas SiC MOSFET was subjected to ESD, creating a G-(D,S) leakage, and numerous emissions indicating the leakage points were detected through emission analysis. When the emission points were observed using TEM, destruction of the SiO2 film and damage to the SiC crystal were noted. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Lab-scale CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor) 'fReactor'

It is possible to carry out multi-phase reactions with various residence times.

Unlocking the Power of Flow Chemistry Asynt's fReactor allows for multi-phase reactions to be conducted at various residence times. With a total capacity of just 10ml, it is ideal for experimental evaluation in flow chemistry. Additionally, the fReactor is flexible and very user-friendly. Five modules that form separate reaction zones provide a good residence time distribution. These five modules are placed on a metal base plate over a standard laboratory hot stirrer. By mixing each zone, this container offers great flexibility in residence time for both single-phase and multi-phase reactions. Multiple ports enable flexibility in reactions, sampling, or integration of sensors within the reactor. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Rotor Dynamics Stability Analysis <Behavior of the Dewatering Tank>

Rotor dynamics using Simcenter Nastran!!!

◆◆Publication Content◆◆ ○ Stability analysis of the spin basket using rotor dynamics (Simcenter Nastran) ○ Keywords: Rotor dynamics, spin basket, washing machine, vibration, dangerous speed ○ Case Summary When spinning in a washing machine, the spin basket experiences intense vibration before stabilizing its rotation. This occurs as it passes through a dangerous speed, which is an essential factor for considerations such as noise reduction. In this analysis example, the spin basket was modeled, and the motion from a stationary state to a steady rotational state (5 revolutions per second) was calculated over time. ● For other features and details, please download the catalog.

[Case Study] Behavior Analysis of Diaphragm Springs through Nonlinear Static Analysis

Non-linear static analysis of diaphragm spring behavior conducted! Reproduction of the jumping phenomenon.

We would like to introduce our analysis titled "Behavior Analysis of Diaphragm Springs Using Nonlinear Static Analysis." When a load is applied to a disc spring, the shape of the spring is complex, leading to not only bending but also twisting and buckling. Additionally, the support conditions are not constant, making it impossible to determine the load and stress using simple cantilever beam theory. In this analysis example, we were able to reproduce the jumping phenomenon of a diaphragm spring used in automotive clutches by conducting nonlinear static analysis on its behavior. 【Case Overview】 ■ Analysis Content: Nonlinear Static Analysis ■ Analysis Result: Reproduction of bidirectional jumping deformation of the diaphragm spring *For more detailed information about this case, please refer to the related links.
