[Aluminum Surface Treatment Problem Solving Case] Base for Aluminum Resin Composite Materials

More than twice the adhesive strength of conventional products! RoHS compliant and no time limit for adhesion.

The aluminum-resin bonding system is often used for applications such as weight reduction, improvement of joint strength and reliability, increased productivity, and cost reduction. As surface treatment, various chemical treatments and anodizing (alumite treatment) have been commonly performed. In recent years, there has been a growing demand for these surface treatment technologies to improve the reliability of composite materials, diversify materials combined with aluminum, and reduce the environmental impact of the adhesive process. Therefore, we applied the anodizing treatment "TAF AD" for adhesive bonding to the surface of the parts. As a result, not only was the adhesive bonding strength improved, but bonding can also be achieved without the use of adhesives (primers) even in cases where adhesives were previously used. [Challenges and Background] ■ Adhesive bonding is increasing due to demands for weight reduction, energy saving, automation, shortening of processes, and rapid bonding. ■ There is a growing demand for improving the reliability of composite materials, diversifying materials combined with aluminum, and reducing the environmental impact of the adhesive process. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Alumite processing "sulfuric alumite"

High-precision film thickness control with a wealth of adoption results! Introducing sulfuric anodizing processing.

We would like to introduce the anodizing process of "sulfuric acid anodizing" conducted by Toyota Dengen Co., Ltd. There is a wealth of adoption results for functional parts due to precise control of coating thickness. The maximum product dimensions are 1,100×900×150mm. Additionally, the compatible aluminum materials include extruded materials, die-cast, and castings. Coating thickness and appearance quality are the main inspection items. 【Performance Evaluation Tests】 ■ Coating Thickness ■ Appearance Quality *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Technical Data: Black Anodizing with Excellent Light and Heat Resistance

Black anodizing has superior light resistance and heat resistance compared to black dyed anodizing!

This document introduces the anodizing treatment and secondary electrolytic coloring process by Toyota Dengen Co., Ltd. As reference material, we have included a comparison of dyed products and secondary electrolytic colored products. The black anodized finish achieved through the anodizing and secondary electrolytic coloring process exhibits superior light and heat resistance compared to black dyed anodized finishes. Customers looking for black anodized finishes that are resistant to fading in outdoor or high-temperature environments are encouraged to consider this option. [Technical Document] Reduction of Low Reflectivity through Special Processes

Not only the specular reflection but also the difficult-to-reduce diffuse reflectance has significantly decreased! For customers who require low reflectance.

This document introduces the anodizing treatment and special processes of Toyota Dengen Co., Ltd. As reference material, a comparison of diffuse reflectance rates is included. The anodizing plus special processes enable the reduction of reflectance rates for aluminum parts. Customers who require low reflectance for aluminum parts in optical devices and sensors, or those considering adding anti-glare properties to aluminum parts, are encouraged to consider this. [Contents] ■ Comparison of diffuse reflectance rates *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Prevention of Color Fading in Anodized Aluminum

We will introduce examples of preventing color fading and color unevenness through the application of pressure steam sealing.

We would like to introduce a case where we solved a problem through our anodizing process. When performing secondary anodizing (two-tone anodizing), there was a challenge from customers regarding color fading or lightening in the areas that had undergone primary anodizing. By applying pressure steam sealing to two-tone anodized products, we were able to prevent color fading and uneven coloring, resulting in a product that maintains its decorative quality. [Case Overview] ■ Challenge - Color fading or lightening occurs in areas that have undergone primary anodizing. ■ Treatment Performed - By applying pressure steam sealing to two-tone anodized products, we were able to prevent color fading and uneven coloring, resulting in a product that maintains its decorative quality. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Securing dimensions for polishing after anodizing treatment.

We will introduce a case where the amount polished has generally been understood due to the application of hard anodizing!

We would like to introduce a case where we solved a problem through our anodizing process. A job arose that required polishing of products after anodizing. There was a challenge from the customer regarding whether there was a way to understand how much anodizing had been polished by the operator. Through the application of hard anodizing, we were able to generally grasp the amount polished. [Case Overview] ■ Challenge - A method to understand how much anodizing the contractor had polished. ■ Process Implemented - Through the application of hard anodizing, we were able to generally grasp the amount polished. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
