One option for removing rubber: Type 1 scraping!!

We will use 18 rubber rolls of φ220×5,500, removing the rubber with a blast to achieve a beautiful finish.

The rolls have aged, and the rubber has worn out and become unusable. In addition to the rubber, there are also issues like rust, so first, we will cleanly strip the rubber using a blast, and then we will reapply the rubber. It's pleasing to see the product beautifully revived! Please note that our company cannot handle rubber application work. Since the process of removing the rubber takes time, we will first strip the rubber from the rubber rolls using grit blasting after they arrive. Then, just before shipping, we will completely remove the rust with sandblasting and prepare for shipment. By removing the rubber and rust and reapplying the rubber, the product will be in like-new condition. Furthermore, the blasting creates a rough surface, which increases the surface area, improves the adhesion of the rubber, and enhances the durability of the product. Surface preparation is the key to painting.

The fate of the paint depends on the surface preparation. If you seek good finish and durability, thorough surface preparation is essential.

Rather than elements such as excellent equipment or high-performance paints, proper surface preparation is the most important factor. Surface preparation is the process of preparing the surface to be suitable for painting, which includes cleaning, removing impurities, and roughening or smoothing the surface. Surface preparation greatly affects the lifespan of the paint, with the proportion of substrate adjustment reaching as high as 49.5%. There are three benefits to surface preparation: removing impurities, improving adhesion, and achieving a beautiful finish. In painting work, meticulous surface preparation is carried out to prevent painting defects.

Large-scale blast room, one of the largest in the Chugoku region of Japan.

It is equipped with a large blast facility measuring 6 meters in width, 3 meters in height, and 10 meters in depth. This is installed in a dedicated room.

Harada Iron Works has two blast rooms suitable for photo sizes. Both are manual, allowing operators to hold the nozzle and perform blasting operations. This enables processing of the interiors of tanks and piping, as well as complexly shaped fabricated products. Additionally, the blast rooms have doors at both the front and back, allowing for the processing of items over 10 meters in length. This blasting equipment is all manufactured in-house by Harada Iron Works and is designed to be in optimal condition for surface preparation before painting.

The relationship between blasting and painting.

In painting, proper surface preparation (substrate treatment) is essential to achieve a good finish. The most effective method of surface preparation is blast treatment.

"Surface preparation" refers to the process of preparing the underlying material or substrate. Metals are melted, cooled, and solidified during the manufacturing process, but when exposed to high temperatures, they combine with oxygen in the atmosphere to form a film known as an oxide layer. If painting is done without removing this oxide layer and impurities, contaminants can mix between the paint and the substrate, leading to poor adhesion. Additionally, the functionality of the paint may not be realized due to the influence of impurities, preventing it from exhibiting its intended performance. However, by using blasting to prepare the substrate, the surface oxide layer, rust, and other contaminants can be completely removed. Furthermore, using angular abrasives creates countless fine irregularities on the substrate, increasing the surface area for paint adhesion and preventing peeling. By cleaning and preparing the substrate with blasting before painting, the lifespan of the paint film can be extended two to three times, providing long-term economic benefits.

Dry Ice Blast "Dry Ice Cleaning"

Accelerate dry ice (cleaning material) with compressed air and spray it onto the object to be cleaned!

We would like to introduce the dry ice blast "dry ice cleaning" conducted by Soa Engineering Co., Ltd. Dry ice is non-flammable and has a temperature of -79°C. It easily sublimates from solid to gas, and the volume of the sublimated gas becomes approximately 750 times its original volume at 0°C. By utilizing this property, impurities can be removed. Unlike conventional blasting, this method cleansly removes attachments and dirt without damaging the surface material of the target object. It is also an environmentally friendly method. 【Related Equipment】 ■ Compressor ■ Air Hose ■ Dry Ice & Dedicated Insulated Box ■ Cleaning Machine Body ■ Safety Protective Gear, Gloves, Earplugs ■ Ventilation *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

What is blast construction? Let me introduce you to blasting!

Blasting is a type of surface treatment that creates various sizes of unevenness on the surface of the material being targeted.

Blasting is a type of surface treatment that creates various sizes of unevenness on the surface of the target material. It suppresses gloss and results in a matte finish, so it is surprisingly applied to products that are quite familiar to us. For more details, please refer to the PDF download below. [Blast Machine Applications] Pearlescent finish / Matte finish (Cosmetic finish)

By smoothing the surface uniformly, we create added value.

We create added value for aluminum press-formed products (casings) such as digital cameras, mobile phones, and portable music devices by uniformly roughening the surface through blasting to eliminate press marks that occur during the pressing process. Typically, these products undergo a matte finish treatment and may be subjected to plating (anodizing) or painting processes before becoming the final product. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*
