[Marusugo] Smooth operation on smartphones! 3D CAD "Onshape"

Malsugo: Smoothly operate CAD on your smartphone! Explaining the greatness of "completely cloud-based 3D CAD" Onshape.

Marsugo is a document that picks up the functions and features of various products and introduces the "amazing" aspects of them. This time, we will introduce "Onshape," a fully cloud-based 3D CAD that can be operated from anywhere without being limited to specific devices. In mechanical design using 3D CAD, it is often necessary to have high-spec devices, which can limit the environments in which it can be used. Have you ever thought, "If I could just make a quick edit to the data while on the move or out and about..." or "If I could continue my design work at home..."? It would be convenient to be able to access 3D data whenever you think of it, right? That's why we are introducing "Onshape," which, while equipped with practical features and security, allows you to operate from anywhere without being limited to specific devices. Thanks to the fully cloud-based system that handles all demanding computational processes in the cloud, it is an amazing 3D CAD that can be easily operated on convenient devices like smartphones and tablets. This document is something we would like those who are working on reforming design operations amid the COVID-19 pandemic to take a look at. *You can download the document using the button below.

Problem-Solving Materials: Utilizing 3D Data Edition 12 | Trial of Press Die Design

Minimizing mold corrections! What are the methods to streamline "design, analysis, and measurement" in press mold manufacturing? A resource for discovering and solving challenges in the production site.

This document is a series that proposes solutions to various challenges faced in the production field, from identifying issues to finding resolutions. In the "3D Data Utilization Edition," we introduce various solutions to manufacturing challenges through the use of 3D data. [Document Overview] In the design of press molds where springback occurs, we hear voices from those who feel challenged by the need to reduce the man-hours associated with mold modifications, such as: "They are required to minimize the number of design revisions, but there are frequent modifications." "The actual measurements of trial products vary depending on the technician's skill, making feedback not smooth." To resolve this issue, it is important to establish a cycle that allows: (1) Anyone to measure accurately, (2) Anyone to predict accurately, (3) Anyone to correct accurately. Therefore, this document introduces a "system for press mold design" that can establish the above cycle. It provides a detailed explanation of the benefits of combining a CAD system that enables anyone to perform "design, analysis, and measurement" accurately and efficiently with a 3D scanner. *You can download the document using the button below.

Full cloud 3D CAD 'Onshape'

It is a "full cloud 3D CAD" that allows design engineering to be completed in the cloud. You can operate it anytime and anywhere, making design work more efficient. *Demo available.

Onshape is a full cloud 3D CAD that allows for the creation, editing, saving, and reviewing of design data without being limited by the device used. As long as there is an internet connection, it can be operated not only from a PC but also from smartphones and tablets, enabling design work anytime and anywhere, regardless of device performance or location. [Features] ■ Complete design process solely in the cloud Onshape allows for the creation, saving, and reviewing of CAD data entirely in the cloud. Since even resource-intensive calculations are processed in the cloud, it can be operated anytime and anywhere, regardless of the device, such as smartphones or tablets. ■ Reliable security to protect your data High security measures are implemented to prevent unauthorized access, including encryption of server access, adoption of two-factor authentication, and recording of access history through audit logs. You can use the cloud system with peace of mind. ■ Practical CAD usable in various scenarios It is a history-based parametric modeler that makes design changes easy. It includes features necessary for product design work, such as part creation and assembly design, as well as 2D drawing capabilities and sheet metal design.

I tried operating 3D CAD in a mobile environment!

Is it true that 3D CAD can be used anywhere? I tried operating the completely cloud-based Onshape in a mobile environment | System Create

"Mitarepo" is a series that introduces what can be done using various products with the concept of "I tried doing this!" We deliver useful information each time from the wide range of product genres handled by System Create. In Vol. 53, we operated the fully cloud-based 3D CAD "Onshape" under various mobile communication environments to verify its responsiveness. The world is becoming more and more convenient, and there are increasing things that make you think, "Can this really be done?!" 3D CAD is one of those things; it used to require a high-performance PC and was only operable at the office, which was the norm. However, now it can be operated anywhere using mobile devices! This time, we used Onshape, which can be utilized with just an internet connection and a browser, to edit 3D models from various mobile environments and examined its operability and processing time. "Can I really edit while on the go?" "Is it smooth to use on mobile devices?" We will explain the results of our verification regarding these practical concerns. *You can download the materials from the button below.*
