【About Deburring and Polishing】 The removal of minute burrs generated in the precision molding and machining of electronic components and automotive parts is a very important issue in product quality management. It is not an exaggeration to say that it can influence competitiveness. For example, a typical precision part like a retainer for miniature bearings has a complex and delicate shape, making it difficult not only to deburr but also to clean. This process can be automated to perform deburring, polishing, and cleaning using only water. The conventional main method for deburring is barrel polishing, where the target objects and compounds are placed in a media, which consists of stones (grinding stones) about 1 cm in size, and rotated for 30 minutes to 2 hours to achieve deburring and polishing. After that, the stones and the target objects are separated, followed by cleaning with an ultrasonic cleaner and drying. This process is very labor-intensive, and due to the harsh working environment, it is extremely difficult to secure young workers. Additionally, maintaining stable quality is also challenging. This ultrasonic deburring and polishing cleaning device is a fully automated system developed for precision press parts and mechanical components. You simply place 1,000 to 25,000 pieces in a basket, close the lid, and press the switch. It is capable of deburring, polishing, and cleaning.
