It is a composite material made by impregnating aluminum into a SiC ceramic porous body. With the lightness of aluminum and the rigidity of iron, it is a material that also excels in thermal properties. Taking advantage of these features, our MMC was installed on the asteroid explorer "Hayabusa2."
