We would like to introduce a case study on the measurement and control system for a hydraulic continuously variable transmission testing device using a real-time operating system. In the performance evaluation tests of hydraulic continuously variable transmissions, there are endurance tests exceeding several hundred hours and load operations based on specific schedules. High-speed data measurement performance is required to capture transient phenomena, and stability that can withstand the endurance test duration is necessary to quickly stop the equipment in the event of an anomaly. In building the new system, we selected the PXI system and LabVIEW RT as products that meet these challenges. ◆Ensuring a shipping and receiving capacity of 40,000 packages per day Frameworks Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Frameworks) announced on March 27 that its automation equipment control system (hereinafter referred to as WCS) has been implemented in a new logistics warehouse located within Kao Corporation's (hereinafter referred to as Kao) Toyohashi factory, and that operations will commence on March 31. Kao's new logistics warehouse has been equipped with advanced automation facilities, including a pallet high-rise automated warehouse capable of storing 1.2 million packages, AGVs (automated guided vehicles), and intelligent robots. As a result, Kao has designed the system to fully automate warehouse operations, including the automation of multiple loading patterns, ensuring a shipping and receiving capacity of 40,000 packages per day. To reliably achieve this shipping and receiving capacity, Frameworks developed the WCS to control each automation facility. ◆Standard integration with truck reservation system The WCS not only provides automation control but also integrates with the truck reservation system "MOVO Berth." This has enabled the establishment of a system that directs outbound shipments from the WCS, taking into account truck reservations and arrival statuses, thereby promoting white logistics through the reduction of truck waiting times.
