Due to the revision, businesses that manufacture or handle substances subject to risk assessment will be required to implement "measures to prevent exposure." ◆ What are substances subject to risk assessment? These are hazardous and harmful substances for which the implementation of risk assessment is mandated under Article 57-3 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act. ◆ What are the obligations of businesses regarding substances subject to risk assessment? Businesses must minimize the extent to which workers are exposed to substances subject to risk assessment by the following methods, among others. (Effective April 1, 2023) ● Install and operate equipment that seals off sources of emission, local exhaust systems, or general ventilation systems ● Use alternatives, etc. ● Improve work methods ● Use effective respiratory protective equipment From April 2024, the following will also be required: ● The level of exposure to certain substances designated as "substances with concentration standard values" must be kept below the standard value. *Quoted from Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare materials "The Reset Air Wide Range" has a high deodorizing power (air intake volume) and improves indoor odors and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) through circulation over several hours with a powerful motor. An example of removing sewage odor caused by inflow of contaminated water using a deodorization device filled with the deodorization filter "Coraline."

Hydrogen sulfide was generated in the wastewater treatment facility at the fishing port, causing corrosion of the control panel in the nearby electrical room. Even though the entire electrical room was sealed to prevent hydrogen sulfide from entering, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide did not decrease sufficiently. According to the measurement results, the hydrogen sulfide concentration was 6 ppb, and there was an inquiry to reduce this to below 1 ppb. After installing a demo unit of our product "Coraline" and confirming its effectiveness, a purchase was made.
