Discarded solar panels are almost completely separated into glass, aluminum frames, back sheets, etc., in a single processing operation. The glass is reduced to cullet and can be sorted according to its intended use!

Solar panels have rapidly spread due to expectations as a renewable energy power purchase system (FIT) and as a local production for local consumption independent power source. However, estimates suggest that the amount of waste generated could reach up to approximately 800,000 tons per year, equivalent to about 40 million panels, due to their lifespan and damage.
