A case where a blow disc was installed at the bottom of a cylindrical tank.

This is an example of adoption that differs from the purpose of eliminating bridges and rat holes. The contents consist of fuel particles approximately a few millimeters in size, and it is necessary to perform nitrogen gas purging to prevent heat generation due to oxidation. Therefore, we decided to adopt a blow disk with the expectation that the gas would be evenly distributed within the tank. Although there was a basic preference for continuous gas purging, maintaining a constant gas flow would result in a significant consumption of gas. On the other hand, reducing the purging pressure was considered detrimental to gas diffusion, so we recommended intermittent operation with four blow disks. This is a case requested by a plant engineering company. We received an inquiry regarding a large hopper (square hopper) for incineration ash, where ash accumulates in the corners of the lower 1/3 to 1/2 of the hopper. Unlike mesh-type air relators, the blow disk injects air along the inner surface of the hopper and vibrates, making it very effective. There is no need to worry about mesh clogging. This is an introduction to a case delivered to a crusher and shredder manufacturer. The customer (the crusher manufacturer) consulted us, stating, "During the trial operation of the device we manufactured, a bridge formed, and even after installing multiple vibrators, it became even harder to discharge." The summary of the trouble was that fiber powder was bridging in the hopper mentioned above, and when the vibrators were activated, it completely clogged within a few seconds, making it impossible to discharge at all.
