Process Autohomogenizer 'PA92'

Automatic control high-speed homogenizer

The 『PA92』 is an automatic control high-speed process homogenizer capable of high-speed rotation at 18,000 rpm. It is a higher model than the process homogenizer (PH91). It adopts an automatic control system with an integrated IC that quickly and automatically recovers from a decrease in rotation speed due to load fluctuations during sample processing, allowing for safe use. Additionally, it has a built-in memory circuit, so once the rotation speed and operating time are set, it can be restarted with one touch under the same conditions. 【Features】 ■ Adopts an automatic control system with built-in IC ■ Built-in memory circuit ■ High-speed rotation at 18,000 rpm ■ One-touch restart capability *For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.

Contract Testing Case: Emulsification of Cosmetic Microparticles

We are creating case studies within the company and making proposals.

The performance of equipment for powder processing (dispersion, emulsification, grinding) cannot be expressed in the catalog. The reason is that the processing methods change depending on the materials used and the intended purpose. So, what indicators should be used for selection? The best way is to look at actual processing examples. In our company, we create internal case studies to explain the technology of our equipment in an easy-to-understand manner for our customers. ● For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.

Case of commissioned testing processing: Tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP)

Introducing the powder processing data materials of the NAGS series!

The performance of powder processing equipment (dispersion, emulsification, grinding) cannot be expressed in the catalog. The reason is that the processing method changes depending on the materials used and the purpose. So, what indicators should be used for selection? The best way is to look at actual processing examples. Tricalcium phosphate is actively used as a material for artificial bones and teeth, so it is necessary to create a material with high strength. An ultra-high-pressure homogenizer from Soko is effective for making particles finer. Case of entrusted testing processing: Escherichia coli

It plays an active role in the pretreatment of protein purification by grinding bacterial cells such as E. coli.

It can also be applied to the micronization of new compounds from pharmaceutical companies. From research models to mass production machines, by performing "processing condition output," it becomes possible to achieve highly reproducible results.

Contracted Testing Case: Graphene

Collaborated with overseas research institutions to develop materials and successfully achieved the exfoliation of graphite!

The utilization of the new material "graphene," which is strong and excels in conductivity and thermal dissipation, is gaining attention. However, there are still challenges regarding the production costs and mass production of single-phase graphene, making it difficult to widely deploy it as a material for manufacturing. In this context, research is being conducted to apply mechanical shear forces to inexpensive graphite bulk, efficiently peeling off layers to produce graphene. The Italian national research institute IIT (Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia) has focused on this manufacturing method early on and has adopted our ultra-high-pressure homogenizer (NAGS100) in the mechanical exfoliation process. Currently, multilayer graphene is being stably produced from graphite bulk and is being applied in various applications. In the future, mass production is being advanced, and inexpensive, high-quality graphene ink is expected to be sold worldwide.

Mechanism of the ultra-high pressure homogenizer

Make it into a slurry and perform dispersion.

A "slurry" mixed with powder, solvent, and a dispersant to prevent re-agglomeration is injected into the sample tank. A pressure of up to 250 MPa is applied to the material within the device, and the materials are made to collide head-on using our unique "H-type nozzle" to achieve dispersion. We refer to passing the sample through the device once as a "pass." By repeating this "pass" multiple times, the materials are dispersed to sizes ranging from "microns to several tens of nanometers," and in a "uniform" manner.

I will explain about the H-type nozzle!

Simultaneously achieving 'bringing out the quality of the materials' and 'easy maintenance'.

The "H-type nozzle" realizes the "three types of dispersion" unique to Joko! Within the "ultra-high pressure homogenizer" system, this part is made of "diamond." The material pushed through by a high-pressure pump passes through this specially crafted nozzle. And then, 1. Generation of jet flow Shearing occurs within the unit, resulting in a liquid phase jet flow. 2. Collision of materials When the sheared materials merge, they collide head-on. 3. Joko's unique vortex jet flow The vortex jet flow further enhances the effect. During depressurization, cavitation occurs while dispersing, efficiently extracting the effects of dispersants and other additives.

[Information] Explanation of the NAGS series mechanism.

The characteristics of H-type nozzle dispersion processing are "damage-free" and the image of "loosening rather than crushing."

This document explains the mechanism of the "NAGS series." The general terms are "ultra-high pressure homogenizer" and "wet jet mill." It is a device that injects slurry materials at ultra-high pressure (up to 250 MPa) through a diamond processing nozzle to nano-size and nano-disperse various materials. Please take a moment to read it. [Contents] ■ What is Joko's nano-sizing device (NAGS series)? ■ Joko's unique design philosophy and H-type nozzle (NJP unit) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Introducing Case Studies: What Nano-Micronization Involves with the NAGS Series

The miniaturization and high performance of electronic devices such as batteries and MLCCs will rely on the nanomization of constituent materials as a key technology!

This document introduces processing examples related to nanomicroization involved in the NAGS series. Nanomicroization is a key technology for miniaturizing and enhancing the performance of electronic devices such as batteries and MLCCs (multi-layer ceramic capacitors) through the nanomicroization of constituent materials. Additionally, there is a demand for uniform particle processing that does not contain impurities. New processing examples from the industrial sector are also included. [Contents] ■ What is nanomicroization ■ New processing examples in the industrial sector *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Introduction of case studies on data processing

Examples of the crushing treatment of zinc oxide, which requires micronization into the nanoscale to achieve transparency, are widely featured!

This document is a collection of case studies on processing conducted by Joko Co., Ltd. "Disaggregation" is a treatment that loosens and micro-sizes aggregates of primary particles. For example, according to manufacturer data, materials with a primary particle size of 30 nm are aggregated to a state of 5 μm, which is then loosened and micro-sized. The characteristic front collision force of the Joko nozzle powerfully micro-sizes the material. Additionally, "crushing" is a treatment that literally crushes primary particles to achieve micro-sizing. This process demonstrates the greatest advantage of media-free processing, which is minimal material damage. [Published Cases] ■ Zinc oxide "Disaggregation" ■ Barium titanate "Disaggregation" ■ Nickel hydroxide "Crushing" ■ Titanium diboride "Crushing" *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
