[Automation and Labor-saving Case] Presence or Absence of Burnt Marks - Inspection Device

We are involved in the introduction of devices that realize the automation of high-precision product inspection using advanced image recognition technology.

We would like to introduce a case where we successfully achieved automation and labor reduction using our "Burn Detection Inspection Device." This device is an inspection machine for processed glass ampoules and similar items. By automatically inspecting for the presence of burn marks, we have succeeded in automating and reducing labor for the inspection of mass-produced items, which is difficult for humans to perform. One of the features of this automation device is its use of image recognition technology, which enables high-precision defect detection even for burn marks that are difficult to identify visually on the glass surface. [Case Overview] ■ An automation device that can automatically confirm and inspect the presence of burn marks due to welding defects in the sealing process using glass welding after filling the contents of glass ampoules and similar items. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Introducing 5 defect countermeasures in manufacturing that you want to implement immediately.

There are methods for calculating causes and defect rates! Let's clarify the causes and advance defect measures in the manufacturing industry.

The issue of defective products that causes headaches on the manufacturing floor. A decrease in yield not only leads to direct cost increases but also results in invisible damages such as delays in delivery and a decline in customer trust, which are immeasurable. Furthermore, a situation where the same defects repeatedly occur can lead to a decline in morale and exhaustion among the staff. This article will explain the essence of defect countermeasures in the manufacturing industry and effective approaches that can be immediately implemented on the shop floor. *For more details, please refer to the link below.*

Openvision HD

High-speed screening technology that allows for the inspection of corrosion on pipe surfaces without removing insulation materials.

A handheld digital X-ray system, OPENVISION HD, minimizes the inspection costs for CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) by enabling real-time high-speed CUI screening inspections. It allows for rapid scanning of large amounts of insulated piping in a short time. With real-time X-ray imaging and live video output, results are obtained instantly, allowing inspection technicians to identify areas of concern and quickly move on to other piping. Images of CUI indicators such as pitting, scaling, loss of outer wall, and moisture in insulation can be recorded and downloaded at the push of a button, facilitating quick assessments and reporting. By reducing operational costs in terms of minimal setup, time, and inspection technicians, it significantly lowers costs by enabling early detection of CUI and providing accurate inspection results. Early detection allows for advanced maintenance planning, reduces mitigation costs, extends equipment lifespan, and minimizes unplanned downtime. Unplanned downtime can cost 4 to 6 times more than planned downtime.

SONOPEC

CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) inspection solution that can measure the thinning of the target object without removing insulation materials, fireproof coverings, or coatings: SONOPEC.

SONOPEC is a non-intrusive electromagnetic technology based on the latest PEC (Pulsed Eddy Current Testing) that enables the detection, measurement, and monitoring of corrosion in low carbon steel piping and pressure vessels without removing insulation materials, paint, coatings, concrete fireproofing, or marine products such as oysters. This is a CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) inspection solution. • Inspections can be conducted while the equipment is in operation, resulting in no production loss. • There is no need to remove insulation materials covering the objects, leading to reduced inspection costs. • Quick inspections are possible as surface treatment is not required. • PEC provides extremely high reproducibility in measurements taken at the same location. • Inspection costs underwater are significantly reduced. • When the material of the object is uniform, the accuracy of corrosion detection under insulation is ±5%. • The accuracy of corrosion monitoring is ±0.2%. • The temperature range for inspections is from -100°C to 550°C. • The thickness of the inspection target objects ranges from 2 mm to 70 mm. • The maximum thickness of insulation materials is 200 mm. • For piping, the minimum outer diameter is from 50 mm.

Nasu Factory

A quality control system centered around five inspection processes! A reliable partner for electronic circuit board prototyping.

We would like to introduce our Nasu factory, which provides high-quality and high-functionality electronic circuit boards. The SMT line features a two-line system with L size and M size, enabling production of various types and quantities, and is characterized by five inspection processes that ensure thorough quality control. Additionally, the IMT line is capable of handling point flow soldering and possesses and inherits manual assembly techniques that support rework operations (replacement of defective components during inspection) after board assembly. 【Inspection Processes】 ■ Solder printing inspection ■ Pre-reflow assembly inspection (AOI: Automatic assembly inspection) ■ Pre- and post-reflow X-ray inspection ■ Visual inspection (AOI: Automatic visual inspection) ■ Pass/fail inspection (visual support inspection) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
