**Overview** An integrating sphere is a measurement tool used to assess the optical characteristics of light sources. It is composed of a diffuse reflective surface with high reflectivity on the inner surface of the sphere. The light emitted by the light source inside the sphere and the light entering the sphere are reflected multiple times, stabilizing the illuminance on the walls and allowing for the measurement of the optical characteristics of the light source by photometry of a portion of that light.
