Standard Integrating Sphere SF "GPS-SF Series"

You can choose what fits your measurements!

The "GPS-SF Series" is a standard integrating sphere (SpectraReflect) manufactured by Labsphere. We offer a variety of integrating spheres with different types of coatings, sizes, and numbers of ports as standard products. You can choose the one that suits your measurement needs from these options. All integrating spheres are equipped with threaded holes (1/4-20) for rod fixation at the South Pole (SP) position. 【Features】 ■ The inner diameter of the integrating sphere varies depending on the type of inner coating. ■ For each inner diameter, we provide both 3-port and 4-port types. ■ A baffle (light shield) is placed between the 0° and 90° ports of all integrating spheres. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

What is a spherical integrator?

I will provide a detailed explanation of the technical information regarding the integrating sphere.

LED chips, LED arrays, LED lighting, backlights, displays, etc. Almost all light sources have varying brightness depending on the direction of observation. The solution to this problem is the "integrating sphere." The inner walls are coated with a high reflectivity and excellent diffusivity. When a light source is placed at the center of the integrating sphere, the light emitted from the source hits the inner walls and undergoes diffuse reflection. The light then hits the inner walls of the integrating sphere again and continues to diffuse and reflect repeatedly. Inside the integrating sphere, the light is mixed, and even light that originally had different brightness depending on the observation direction becomes almost uniformly bright. As diffuse reflection coating materials, Labsphere offers four types: Spectraflect, PermaFlect, Spectralon, and InfraGold. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Integral sphere

Standard light source for visible and near-infrared cameras

For testing sensors and cameras in the visible to near-infrared range, an integrating sphere is used as a reference light source. The SR300 is a low-cost, high-performance integrating sphere provided by CI Systems, a company with a wealth of experience in testing infrared cameras with devices such as blackbody furnaces and collimators. It achieves uniform brightness across a wide range of wavelengths from visible to near-infrared. It can be used for various tests, including measuring and calibrating uniformity, sensitivity, and noise in visible and near-infrared cameras. Two sizes are available: 8 inches and 12 inches. We provide equipment that meets all testing needs, including standalone integrating spheres, devices combined with collimators, and comprehensive camera testing systems.

[Custom Example] Universal Integrating Sphere and Halogen Light Source for Uniform Standard Light Source

A combination of the GPS universal integrating sphere manufactured by Labsphere, Inc. and a halogen light source produces a high-quality uniform brightness surface!

The standard general-purpose integrating sphere 3P-GPS-030-SL (3-port, φ3", made of Spectralon) is designed to capture light from a halogen light source using a light guide into the integrating sphere. The luminance distribution at the emission port is digitized using the ProMetric I16 from Radiant. 【Features】 ■ The area near the center of the emission port is divided into a 10 x 10 grid, and luminance distribution data for each grid is obtained. ■ The integrating sphere can be fixed at any position on the breadboard. ■ By fixing it on the breadboard, stable calibration is achieved. *Please feel free to contact us.

Repainting work for the integration sphere 3 inches φ75mm

It is possible to create an integrating sphere coating that is strong, uniform, and has a high reflectance. It is also possible to create a white reflective surface using 100% barium sulfate without the use of a binder.

**Overview** An integrating sphere is a measurement tool used to assess the optical characteristics of light sources. It is composed of a diffusely reflective surface with high reflectivity on the inner surface of the sphere, which allows the light emitted from a light source within the sphere to be reflected multiple times, stabilizing the illuminance on the walls and measuring a portion of that light to determine the optical characteristics of the light source. Therefore, the reflective coating on the inner surface of the integrating sphere is particularly important. **Features** ◎ BaSO4 reflective surface with uniform and high reflectivity. ◎ It can be restored and maintained even if the diffuse surface becomes contaminated or deteriorated. ◎ Painting of integrating sphere accessories such as support bases and sockets is also possible. ◎ It has mechanical strength that can withstand mechanical vibrations. ◎ It excels in robustness, long-term stability, and weather resistance even in production environments. ◎ We also support repainting of integrating spheres from other companies that have deteriorated. **Painting Process** Pre-painting inspection (physical properties such as material, structure, flatness) ⇒ Reflectivity measurement under condition d(8/di) (repainted integrating sphere) ⇒ Pre-treatment (rust prevention treatment, flatness treatment, etc.) ⇒ Painting work (at our factory/customer site) ⇒ Reflectivity measurement under condition d(8/di) ⇒ Submission of "Reflectivity Inspection Report."

integrating sphere

Available in various sizes, diameters, and wavelength ranges! Compatible with both diffuse and collimated light measurements.

At Ophil Japan Co., Ltd., we offer an "integrating sphere" for measuring diffuse light and LED output. Light enters through the incident port and is evenly reflected off the inner walls of the integrating sphere before reaching the detector. The light reflects multiple times off the high-reflective diffuse coating on the inner walls of the integrating sphere, and the detector samples a small portion of that light source to measure the total power incident on the integrating sphere. The integrating sphere is coated with a highly reflective white coating, allowing for high efficiency and measurements that are independent of beam size, beam position, and diffusion rate. 【Features】 ■ Available in various sizes, diameters, and wavelength ranges ■ Supports measurement of diffuse and collimated light *For more details, please refer to the related link page or feel free to contact us.
