[Case Study of Styrofoam Reduction Machine] Significant Reduction in Electricity Costs with the Introduction of Two Reduction Machines
The introduction of a high melter equipped with a two-system reduction unit has significantly reduced electricity costs.
Case Study 3: Styrofoam Volume Reduction Machine RE-E2000 ■Industry: Market Relations ■Application: Volume reduction of Styrofoam (fish boxes) 【Customer's Challenges】 In Nagasaki Prefecture, blessed with rich fishing grounds such as the East China Sea and Goto Nada, the fish market association is involved in the overall operation, including environmental improvement of the fish market. This fish market uses a large number of Styrofoam fish boxes daily, with approximately 2,500 boxes (about 450 kg) being disposed of each day. The association was processing the disposed Styrofoam fish boxes using two machines from another manufacturer (150 kg/h) for volume reduction. Simultaneous operation of the two volume reduction machines increased power consumption and raised the basic fees. The association gave up on simultaneous operation and opted for operating one machine at a time while installing a demand monitoring device to keep the basic fees down. However, even with these measures, the electricity costs remained high, which was a source of concern for the association. Additionally, during the crushing of Styrofoam and the discharge of ingots, Styrofoam dust would scatter, requiring considerable effort for cleaning. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
