What is the necessity and role of packaging? Free presentation of basic knowledge explanation materials.

Essential for safely protecting items! Here are three examples of the basic roles of packaging.

The protection of contents plays an important role in preventing damage to products during transportation. In addition to protecting products and goods from damage caused by drops and vibrations during transport, handling, and storage, it also includes protection from heat, humidity, and odors. Moreover, it serves to protect products from not only physical factors but also human factors such as vandalism, chemical factors like oxidation and corrosion, and biological factors such as insects and bacteria. *For more detailed information, please refer to the attached PDF document. Development of PTP packaging materials and improvement of moisture resistance and chemical resistance, case studies, regulatory and standard trends.

☆Explanation of recent trends and efforts to solve issues (moisture resistance, vapor permeability, chemical resistance, resistance to extreme solvents, moldability), including market application examples.

**Part 1: Summary of the Lecture** Plastic and glass are primarily used as pharmaceutical packaging materials, and efforts are underway to harmonize standards through international conferences on the three major pharmacopoeias among Japan, Europe, and the United States. The standards of the Japanese pharmacopoeia are limited in scope and contain many ambiguities, resulting in numerous differences compared to those in Europe and the United States. This presentation will introduce a comparison of the current situations in Japan, Europe, and the United States, the status of international harmonization, points to consider regarding materials used, and how companies can advance risk management for packaging materials. **Part 2: Summary of the Lecture** I will explain how the technical features of functional films from Kyodo Printing can help solve challenges in pharmaceuticals, using case studies as examples. **Part 3: Summary of the Lecture** PTP (Press Through Package) is one of the most outstanding packaging materials for the distribution of tablets and capsules. Developed in Europe and popularized in Japan around the 1960s, PTP has remained largely unchanged for nearly half a century, and no alternative packaging form has emerged to replace it. This lecture will introduce the basic design of PTP and the trends in technology for the future.

Are you disposing of packaging materials and wrapping materials as waste plastic?

With a resin identification handheld sensor, recycle packaging materials without throwing them away!

We would like to introduce the utilization of our "Resin Identification Handy Sensor." This is effective for challenges such as "the types of packaging materials handled vary by supplier, but since the materials cannot be identified, we incur disposal costs by incinerating them." Identifying the material takes only 2 seconds. By simply using the sensor, you can determine the type of plastic, allowing for sorting by material and enabling recycling or valuable recovery. Let's redirect the plastics that have been simply discarded to recycling! *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Eshikarist: Towards Monomaterialization of Plastic Packaging Materials

"Ethicalist" refers to products made from materials that do not burden the natural environment, as well as those made from natural or recycled materials.

"Ethicalist" is a product line that considers the local community and natural environment, and practices the "Reduce" and "Recycle" solutions we advocate for in our environmental impact reduction initiative "Mission S2R." Since there is no need to introduce new natural resources, it enables a cycle using existing resources. By reducing thickness, we can decrease the overall volume of raw materials and packaging, which also leads to cost reductions in transportation and storage. [Definition] ■ Products made from materials that do not burden the natural environment, or from natural and recycled materials ■ Products that contribute to social welfare activities *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
