Fluororesins (PTFE, PFA) and LCP films, which are attracting attention as materials for substrates supporting 5G and 6G, can be Cu-plated or directly bonded. Our atmospheric pressure plasma surface treatment device, 'Precise', has a plasma generation unit that is separated from the treatment area (downstream type), allowing for the addition of functional groups and hydroxyl groups to the surface through molecular bonding without damaging the treatment area. A study was conducted on the addition of nitric acid-hydrochloric acid (aqua regia) for the heating decomposition (dissolution) in the analysis of impurities contained in iron and steel.

Steel increases in rigidity when it contains boron and other impurities, but too many impurities can make it brittle. Therefore, managing the impurity content is extremely important in the production of high-quality steel. As an analytical method, the nitric acid-hydrochloric acid (aqua regia) decomposition is commonly used, but it is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and generates a significant amount of harmful acid decomposition gases, making it difficult to safely and rapidly process multiple samples. To address this, we examined the automatic pretreatment using nitric acid-hydrochloric acid (water) for impurity analysis in iron and steel with DEENA2, which can perform tasks such as acid addition, stirring, and dilution control fully automatically via PC control. As a result, we were able to automate tasks that were previously done manually.
