Introducing a case study that solved exhaust gas treatment issues in production equipment with significant fluctuations in concentration and air volume.

We would like to introduce a case where exhaust gas treatment equipment was delivered to Sanjoh Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. When designing exhaust gas treatment equipment, the maximum processing capacity of the equipment is determined by the maximum airflow and maximum concentration of the emitted exhaust gas. Therefore, if the airflow decreases or the concentration becomes lower, operating with fixed parameters that match the maximum processing capacity results in significant energy loss. To solve this issue, we proposed and adopted a mode change function that allows operation tailored to the production process, achieving substantial energy savings. Suspended solids are captured by the bag filter! The treated water is neutralized and then released as fluorine-treated terrace.

At Kurose Co., Ltd., we were processing with simple equipment but were considering a more environmentally friendly treatment method. Therefore, we installed this equipment, which has an additional fluorine treatment terrace to reduce fluorine levels below regulatory limits. After installation, the levels of fluorine and its compounds were 0.5 mg/L, BOD was 21 mg/L, and nitrogen content was 25.1 mg/L. The sludge removal from the bag filter is now done about once a month, and the replacement of the terrace is done about once every six months, reducing the operational burden.
