OPTOTUNE C-mount focus tunable lens

Continuous focus adjustment is possible; equipped with C-mount screw-in and lens offset functions to facilitate system integration.

The Optotune C-Mount Focus Tunable Lens facilitates mechanical integration in imaging systems by combining Optotune's electronic focus tunable lens with a C-mount compatible housing. By applying a control voltage to the lens via a Hirose connector, the Optotune C-Mount Focus Tunable Lens can adjust the focal length range from +80 to +200mm. Its ability to adjust the focal length makes it ideal for replacing focus adjustments and zoom systems that use multiple lenses. When shifting the focal length range, please use a plano-convex or plano-concave lens with a diameter of 12mm (with a thickness of less than 4.7mm) as an offset lens. For the product lineup of standard specifications, their specifications, and sales prices, please refer to the relevant product page on the official website of Edmund Optics Japan Co., Ltd. (accessible from the product homepage linked above). *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan that includes this product from the link below.

Air-cooled argon laser

All products are sold individually as standard specification items. We offer quick delivery due to complete stock availability.

This is an air-cooled argon (Ar) laser that features a user-friendly built-in power supply and a compact all-in-one body. Compared to other manufacturers' air-cooled Ar laser products at similar prices, it offers more than twice the relative output, providing sufficient power for most applications using Ar lasers. Additionally, it is lightweight compared to traditional Ar lasers, making it ideal for OEM applications. The adoption of an internal mirror-type laser tube eliminates the need to worry about mirror maintenance or alignment. With two forced air cooling fans and a unique dual-channel airflow design, it enables efficient heat dissipation of the laser tube while maintaining quiet operation. It also prevents contaminants in the air from entering the laser's power supply unit. The built-in beam shutter can be controlled with a spring-type switch. Remote operation of the laser can be achieved through the built-in interface port. *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan below.*

Case study of micro-hole processing in LCP (liquid crystal polymer) using short pulse laser.

This is an introduction to examples of through-hole processing for LCP (liquid crystal polymer).

A through hole with a diameter of 0.15 mm was processed in LCP (liquid crystal polymer) with a thickness of 0.05 mm. Compared to conventional laser processing, we achieved fine processing with less thermal impact.

Design and processing of anisotropic structural colors using nano-periodic structures (LIPSS)

The invisible fine structures created by femtosecond lasers produce beautiful colors.

This is a proposal for design processing that utilizes anisotropic structural colors. The structural colors decorated with the "Anisotropic Structural Color Function Creation Technology" using nanoperiodic structures (LIPSS) created by femtosecond lasers do not suffer from fading or degradation over time. Not only can it be directly processed onto metals, but it is also possible to transfer it onto resins such as silicone rubber and ABS. By applying the "Anisotropic Structural Color Function Creation Technology" to molds, a large number of beautiful plastic products can be produced. How about utilizing this for product decoration?

3μm recess on the surface of borosilicate glass

We performed shallow engraving on the surface of a 150μm thick ultra-thin cover glass using a femtosecond laser.

On the WEB page, you can see that the edges of the recessed areas and the unprocessed areas, which were processed in circular and cross shapes, are cleanly finished without cracks or melting. Unlike conventional lasers, where light can pass through and processing cannot be achieved, or contact processing, where the workpiece may crack, this method avoids those issues.
