[Case Study] Improving Manufacturing Environment through Clean Room Implementation

Improvement of manufacturing environment through cleanroom implementation.

In the production facilities for pharmaceutical testing drugs, it was necessary to move equipment within the warehouse for business expansion. There was a need for cleanliness measures to prevent foreign substance contamination, and a comfortable air conditioning environment for about 20 workers was desired. Issues: 1. Production is taking place in a warehouse environment without air conditioning management. 2. Establishment of a validation process. 3. Air conditioning equipment is not in place.

[Case Study] Installation of a Clean Lab within the Factory Premises

Installation of a clean lab within the factory premises.

The manufacturer of the pulverizer needed to improve the working environment for contract processing of crushing and fine grinding. Operations were being conducted in a corner of the factory, but there was a risk of foreign matter contamination during the input of raw materials for crushing. Customer surveys also indicated a demand for improvements in the working environment, and there was a call for the establishment of a clean lab in line with the trend towards finer particle sizes. Additionally, since cleaning with organic solvents is involved in the work, exhaust equipment that complies with various regulations, including the Labor Safety and Health Act, was also required, not just to ensure cleanliness. Issues: 1. Increased risk of foreign matter contamination when performing nano-level grinding (as pointed out by customers). 2. Appropriate exhaust equipment is necessary due to the use of organic solvents. 3. Considering the possibility of changing the layout of the pulverizer and workability, a large space without columns is more user-friendly. 4. Temperature control is necessary to maintain consistent testing conditions.

[Case Study] Panel-type Clean Room Utilizing Building Structure

Panel-type clean room utilizing building structure

For customers in rubber and resin processing, there was a demand for cleanliness in the manufacturing of parts for the automotive industry, which will be digitized in the future. Issues: 1. Cleanliness is essential to solve the problem of dust adhesion. 2. The space available for installation is limited. 3. There are issues such as products warping during high-temperature periods like summer and shrinking during cold periods.

CPF (Cell Culture Processing Facility)

A highly controlled research facility for advanced regenerative medicine technology. Introduction to cell culture processing facilities.

The clean room as a structural facility for CPF (Cell Culture Processing Facility) must comply with relevant laws and regulations (Regenerative Medicine Law, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act) and require advanced management in accordance with GCTP ministerial ordinance. It is designed and constructed not only to achieve the appropriate cleanliness, room pressure, and temperature and humidity for each area, including sterile management areas, cleanliness management areas, and general management areas, but also to ensure sterility through thorough environmental monitoring after operation. Our company designs and constructs facilities tailored to your needs, from large CPFs to small CPFs located within clinics. 【Features】 - Control of cleanliness, temperature and humidity, and airflow through an environmental monitoring system - Centralized automatic control of room pressure management - Design that considers the flow of workers and materials, achieving advanced sterile management - Comprehensive construction including validation, sanitation, and microbial testing *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Construction of a clean room for a cosmetics manufacturing factory within a warehouse.

A case where the effective height for construction was secured by making the existing ceiling skeletal.

This is a case where a new clean room was constructed at the request of a cosmetics manufacturer. It was necessary to design and build it under the condition of cleanliness level 100,000, in accordance with the general cosmetics manufacturing industry permit. Before constructing the clean room, the existing ceiling was opened up to utilize the ceiling space and ensure effective height. To achieve the cleanliness and pest control measures required by the client, it was necessary to overcome various challenges, but through collaboration with the design team, we were able to construct a clean room that exceeded their expectations. [Issues] - There was a concern about insufficient effective height due to the construction location being on the mezzanine of a gable warehouse. - High cooling capacity was required. - Floor-mounted air conditioning units and ceiling line ducts were not desirable. - Management of internal pressure, dust control from inside, and pest control measures against flying and crawling insects were also necessary. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Containment Clean Room for Special Chemicals

Containment clean room for special agents

At a pharmaceutical manufacturer, we have decided to conduct experiments using special agents that cannot be allowed to disperse or leak, necessitating the establishment of a controlled working environment. The working environment must be designed as a sealed structure, maintaining the entire space at negative pressure (a state lower than atmospheric pressure) at all times to prevent the dispersion of the agents. Since we are handling pharmaceuticals, it is essential to ensure cleanliness not only from the perspective of particles but also in terms of microbial counts and mold, which is referred to as biological cleanliness. Issues: 1. Measures are needed to prevent the agents inside the cleanroom from dispersing into the surrounding area. 2. Antimicrobial measures are necessary. 3. We want to operate in a high-cleanliness environment (Class 100). 4. As a double safety measure, we must capture the agents during exhaust.

[Case Study] Introduction of precise temperature control in resin cutting processing significantly reduces defect occurrence rate.

The ability to design air conditioning when installing exhaust equipment together is a major point of our proposal!

We would like to introduce a case study that addresses the concerns of customers engaged in resin cutting processing. In a workspace equipped with 10 processing machines, temperature management was insufficient, leading to variations in dimensional accuracy for each machine. We received a request to improve yield by thoroughly managing the temperature. In response, we proposed the installation of a booth using insulation panels, taking into account the layout of the processing machines and the workflow. As a result, temperature management in the cutting area was optimized, improving processing accuracy and significantly reducing the defect rate, achieving the intended goals of the installation. [Issues] ■ High dimensional accuracy is required for the resin cutting products being produced. ■ The temperature during processing affects dimensional accuracy. ■ We want to collect the shavings generated during cutting and keep the processing room clean. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
